Brisbane to Noosa

We spent the day traveling from Brisbane to Noosa, nothing terribly exciting to report. The drive was about 2 hours, plus another hour or so to get to the Brisbane airport where our shuttle picked us up. The drive into Noosa was pretty, minus the pelting rain...our driver told us it's pretty common to get the occassional downpour and we're starting to understand the concept. Fortunately, rain is often followed by sunshine, so all is ok.

After checking into our hotel/apartment in Noosaville, we walked around town to familiarize ourselves and find the nearest grocery store to pick up some supplies. Noosa Heads is actually the touristy area near the beach, but it's quite expensive so the adjacent town of Noosaville was a better choice for us. It's quiet and our hotel is reasonably priced - plus, it's only a 10 minute bus ride into Noosa Heads. Perfect.

We picked up a pizza for dinner and relaxed for the evening.
