Munduk

We figured we couldn't just stay in Seminyak for our last week in Bali, so we called up Nyoman and decided to explore the west and north of the island, the areas we had yet to see.

Our first stop was, shocker, another temple - Tanah Lot. At high tide, the temple becomes an island so we admired from afar and took a few pictures.

As we were driving to our next destination, we just so happened to pass a cremation ceremony taking place in a small village. Nyoman pulled over and we were able to witness the traditional cermony. The Balinese wait about one month after the death of a citizen as it takes time to construct the intricate, large, towers - this ceremony was actually for two women, the taller the tower, the older the person.

After lunch, we went to a beautiful botanical garden that was so peaceful, with a nice view of our next stop at the lake.

Pura Ulan, a temple located on Lake Bratan, is our second favorite temple in Bali. Hovering in the middle of the lake with a huge tower and surrounded by a beautiful garden.

It was a pretty nice day outside, we just desperately need a new camera:/
